Whatsapp is developing another exciting feature to make group management easier. The instant messaging app will introduce a new feature that will allow group admins to regulate new participants. The feature was first reported by the WABetaInfo and is now totally available in Android V2.22.18.10. Meta also launched three more new features earlier this month including the option to disguise status, exiting from Whatsapp groups silently, and restriction of screenshots for certain chats.
New Feature for Managing Group Members
The WABetaInfo claims that the messaging service is working on a new feature that would enable group admits to allow or restrict the people joining the groups. Once the app updates its feature, the users can see an option – “Approve new participants”.
The messaging app is also working on a new feature that prevents non-admins from adding members to the group. When the rights are given to other members to join new participants, Whatsapp will notify all group members. Whatsapp will have a new section with all the pending requests for a group. The new feature of approving new participants will be available at the bottom of the group settings menu.
This new feature is mostly available on the play store through a beta program with Android v2.22.18.9 beta.
