Apple is set to launch new Beats earbuds on May 18th, as revealed by the iOS 16.4 Release Candidate in May. The Beats Studio Buds+ have received IMDA certification, and the wearables have also been listed on Amazon with crucial specifications.
Although the earbuds are yet to be formally introduced, images of the successor to the Beats Studio Buds have been leaked on the NCC certification website. Let’s take a closer look.
Beats Studio Buds+ Resemble the Original Earbuds
The Apple Beats Studio Buds+ has a design similar to that of the original Studio Buds launched in 2021. The in-ear earbuds have silicon ear tips for better grip and a small, light stem-less design that removes the ear hooks. Both earbuds come with cutouts for the microphones.
Distinct Model Numbers for the Earbuds and Charging Case
The two earbuds that come with the Beats Studio Buds+ package have different model numbers. The left earbud is labeled A2782, while the right one has the label A2781. Additionally, the package includes a charging case with model number A2780. The charging case has an oval-shaped design and displays the Beats logo on its front.
Improved Battery Life and Microphones
According to an Amazon listing, the Beats Studio Buds+ are expected to have a longer battery life of up to 36 hours with the USB-C charging case, compared to the previous generation model that offered 32 hours of playtime. The new earbuds are also said to feature upgraded microphones with three times larger sizes and new venting to enhance ear pressure. Beats claim that the new Studio Buds+ will provide 1.6 times more active noise cancellation, along with up to 2 times improved transparency mode.
