Google Pixel watch is all set to launch later this year. The leading search engine has unveiled the upcoming Pixel Watch analog variant with the Google Pixel 7 series and the Pixel Tablet in May 2022. The Google Pixel watch is the first ever watch from Google under the Pixel category and is the first major product after acquiring Fitbit.
The launch, however, is expected in the first half of October. The Fitbit app is getting heated to support the new Pixel smartwatch that’s powered by Wear OS.
Detailed Specifications of the New Google Pixel Smartwatch
The upcoming product will have Fitbit integration as it comes after Google acquired the company for $2.1B in 2021. According to Google IO Keynote, Google has shown some of its Fitbit-themed watches new looks. The about-to-launch product will have most of the Fitbit features such as an HR monitor, sleep tracking, and active minutes.
Now the latest update for the Fitbit app (v3.65) includes in-app text-driven evening charge reminders. Once the feature is activated, Fitbit will give a push notification just before the bedtime goal that had been set that would ask you to charge the Pixel watch. This notification indeed confirms the 24-hour estimated battery life with the recommended battery of 30% at least before bedtime.
The smartwatch would enter the market with a 3000mAh battery and runs on Wear OS with fluid navigation and smart notifications. Pixel watch also supports Google Assistant, Google Wallet, Maps, and other Google apps. It also has Wear OS control to handle smart home devices. Watch has got a circular dome and a crown button on its side. With customizable options, the watch is made up of recycled stainless steel.
