AI-Powered Sticker Search for Enhanced Messaging
Telegram has upgraded its sticker search functionality, leveraging AI to help users find the perfect stickers and emojis faster. Previously, only 40,000 official stickers were searchable, but the latest update now includes millions of custom stickers contributed by users. The AI-powered search supports keyword-based queries, enabling users to find stickers using phrases like “laughing cat” or “space astronaut.” This feature is now available in 29 languages, including English, Spanish, Arabic, and Hindi.
Share Videos with Timestamps
Users can now share video links that start at a specific timestamp, making it easier to highlight key moments. While this feature has been available for video captions and replies since 2019, it now extends to shared links. By tapping the share arrow in the video player, users can copy a link that includes the current timestamp, allowing recipients to jump directly to the relevant section of the video.
Custom Video Covers for Channel Posts
With this update, Telegram channel admins can now add custom cover photos for videos before posting. Using the built-in video editor, users can add text, stickers, and emojis, then choose a specific frame as the thumbnail. To set a cover, simply tap the three-dot menu in the video editor and select ‘Edit Cover.’
Improved Video Playback with Saved Progress
Telegram now automatically saves your video progress, ensuring that you can pause a video and resume from where you left off, even after exiting the app. Additionally, all videos now support picture-in-picture (PiP) mode, allowing users to continue watching while navigating other parts of Telegram.
Star Reactions Now Available for Channels
Users can now react to channel posts using Star reactions while remaining anonymous. This update lets channel owners engage with their audience more effectively while also promoting their channels on leaderboards.
Discover Similar Bots with New Recommendations
Telegram has introduced a new discovery feature that showcases similar bots on bot profiles. This update makes it easier for users to find useful services, games, and utilities.
Availability
The latest Telegram update (v11.7.3) is now rolling out to all iOS users. Android users can access it by downloading Telegram from telegram.org/android or via the Google Play Store.
These new features continue to enhance Telegram’s user experience, making messaging, media sharing, and bot interactions more efficient and engaging.
