Huawei is gearing up for a new product launch event, and this time, it’s all about wearables. After unveiling two new smartphones, the Mate 60 and Mate 60 Pro, the company is shifting its focus to wearables. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming event.
Wearable Strategy and New Product Launch
Huawei Mobile shared a post on its official X account, revealing that the next product launch event will take place on September 14 in Barcelona. The launch poster prominently displays the words “Wearable Strategy and New Product Launch,” confirming that the event will center around wearables. Huawei isn’t just unveiling a new smartwatch; it’s also likely to discuss its plans for future wearable releases.
Fashion-Forward Design and Health Features
The event’s post includes hashtags like “#FashionForward” and “#HuaweiHealth,” accompanied by images teasing a wearable device. This suggests that Huawei might introduce new smartwatch designs, watch faces, or innovative health and fitness-related features.
Speculations About New Models
While it’s uncertain which specific models Huawei will unveil, there have been speculations. Earlier this year, multiple Huawei smartwatches were spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website. Notably, the Huawei Watch GT 4 with model numbers PNX-B19 and ARA-B19 was among them. These smartwatches are expected to feature Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and run HarmonyOS 4.0 with firmware version 4.0.0.50 (SP1C00M00). Additional details about their specifications and features remain unknown.
The Huawei Watch GT 4 will succeed the Watch GT 3, which came in 42mm and 46mm sizes, featuring a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, 32MB RAM, 4GB storage, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 455mAh battery with wireless charging support.
