Apple is expanding its retail presence in India with the opening of its second retail store in the country, the “Apple Saket,” in New Delhi. The store promises to provide customers with exceptional service and experiences that offer new ways to browse, discover, and purchase Apple products.
The Apple Saket is the company’s second retail location in India, following the grand opening of its first location, the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai, just two days ago. Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, will also meet with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Deputy IT Minister Rajeev Chandrashekar during his visit to the country.
What to Expect at the Apple Saket
According to Apple, the new store in Delhi will provide customers with personalized service and support from the store’s team of Specialists, Creatives, and Geniuses. Customers will also be able to explore Apple’s most recent product line and find creative inspiration.
The Apple Saket features a unique design that celebrates Delhi’s rich history and culture. The design is inspired by the city’s many gates, each of which represents a new chapter in Delhi’s long history. The store’s colorful artwork celebrates Apple’s second store in India, located in the nation’s capital.
The store is located on the first floor of the Select City Walk Mall in south Delhi and covers 8,400 square feet of retail space. According to CRE Matrix, Apple India signed a ten-year lease deed with Select Infra for the Delhi store, and Apple has the option to recharge the rent for an additional five years, with six months’ notice.
The monthly rent for the store is approximately Rs 40 lakh, which includes common area maintenance fees. The lease is for ten years with a five-year secure and 15% escalation every five years.
