Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron Employ 60,000 People in India

As part of its efforts to increase iPhone production in India, Apple has partnered with Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron. These companies employ more than 60,000 people in India and have helped Apple assemble more than $7 billion worth of iPhones in the country.

 

Apple to Open Its First Retail Store in India

Apple is also set to open its first retail store in India, which will be called Apple BKC and located in Mumbai. On April 20, an Apple Saket launch will take place in New Delhi. Apple Chief Tim Cook is rumored to visit India for the store’s grand opening and meet with PM Narendra Modi.

 

India to Produce iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, and AirPods

Currently, Apple produces the iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 in India, with rumors suggesting that the upcoming iPhone 15 will also be made in India. The other Pro models in the lineup are expected to be made in China. Additionally, India will now produce AirPods, adding to the country’s growing role in Apple’s global supply chain.
