Six members of a cyber gang were recently arrested by the Noida Police for allegedly fabricating D-Mart, Big Basket, and Big Bazaar websites and defrauding individuals of crores of rupees. The accused offered products on these fake websites at discounted or cheap prices to entice gullible customers. During payment, they obtained information about the customers’ credit or debit cards and used the information to fraudulently withdraw money from their bank accounts.

The accused have been identified as Vineet Kumar, Dhruv Solanki, Gaurav Talan, Salman Khan, Santosh Maurya, and Manoj Maurya. They hail from Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddh Nagar, and the victims are not only from the Delhi NCR region but also from other parts of the country.

The police seized four mobile phones, two debit cards, Rs., and three laptops from the accused. The gang gave him 11,700 in cash and a Hyundai i10. An FIR has been stopped against the accused at the Bisrakh police headquarters under Indian Reformatory Code segments 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal break of trust), and under important arrangements of the Data Innovation Act.
