Krafton, the developer of New State Mobile, has announced the highly anticipated May update, which brings exciting new features, including a renewed Bounty Royale mode, support for 90 FPS, and the introduction of a new weapon. Players can expect thrilling gameplay enhancements and additional content with this latest update.
Renewed Bounty Royale: Akinta Returns
The popular Bounty Royale mode, initially introduced in August 2022, has undergone a complete revamp and now takes place in the captivating setting of Akinta. In this mode, players will face off against each other without AI opponents, with a maximum of 32 survivors per match. Prior to the game’s commencement, participants can choose their preferred weapons and equipment.
To intensify the gameplay experience, data-generating devices will be strategically placed throughout the map. Each squad’s score will be determined by the total amount of data collected by its members. When a survivor falls in battle, a portion of their data will be dropped alongside their loot box, which can be collected by allies and adversaries alike. Deceased survivors will be redeployed after a set period of time.
Data receivers, essential for progress, can be obtained from scattered boxes across the map. Carrying the receiver enables continuous data gathering, and the location of the data receiver will be disclosed to all survivors. However, if another team seizes control of the data station before the phase concludes, you will lose the collected data. It’s crucial to defend the data station from attackers until the end of each phase.
The Bounty Royale season will run parallel to the Battle Royale season, and participants will earn prestige coins based on their Bounty Royale tier score. These coins can be used in the Prestige Shop, offering valuable rewards. It’s important to note that Bounty Royale will only be available for 8 hours each day, adding a sense of urgency to the gameplay.
Introducing the MG5 – A Powerful Light Machine Gun
The May update introduces a new weapon called the MG5, a formidable Light Machine Gun that utilizes 7.62mm Ammo. Survivors will have the opportunity to find and wield this weapon on any map within the game. The New State MG5 boasts exceptional firepower and includes slots for grips and sights, allowing for customization. Additionally, an extended magazine can be equipped, increasing the capacity from 50 to 100 rounds. However, it’s worth noting that the reloading speed will be slightly reduced to balance its enhanced capabilities.
Gameplay and Graphic Enhancements
The Akinta map will feature fixed Vcab spawn locations, ensuring a more consistent gameplay experience. Moreover, Vcabs will now regularly appear in Adzo, Mowandi, and Central regions.
A new sound tracker will provide audible cues for parachute control within a specific range, enhancing situational awareness for players.
A helpful marking system will now record the exact location where a player has been eliminated, making it easier to communicate crucial information with teammates.
In terms of graphics, the latest update offers improved options for players using high-performance devices and selecting the 90 FPS ‘Frame Rate.’ Previously, only the ‘Lite’ option for ‘Graphic Quality’ was available. However, players can now choose from various visual variations within the same selection. It’s important to note that selecting higher graphic settings may lead to occasional frame drops, increased device temperature, faster battery consumption, and potential hardware strain.
Maintenance Schedule for the New State Mobile May Update
Players should mark their calendars for the maintenance period scheduled on May 25, 2023. Server maintenance will take place from 0:00 UTC to 6:00 UTC (or 5:30 AM IST to 12:30 PM IST).
