Google I/O 2023 is the annual developer event where Google announces its new hardware products. Among them is the new Pixel Tablet, which was previewed last year and is now finally available for pre-order in select markets.

With a tall IPS LCD panel, the Pixel Tablet has an 11-inch display and an 8MP camera sensor on the front and back. It also offers support for the Pixel speaker dock, which doubles up as a charger.

Price and Specifications

The Google Pixel Tablet comes in two storage options – the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at $499 (roughly Rs 40,900), while the 8GB + 256GB variant costs $599 (roughly Rs 49,100). It is available in three color options – Porcelain, Rose, and Hazel.

The Pixel tablet has an 11-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a pixel density of 276PPI. It also offers 500 nits of peak brightness. The tablet has quad speakers and three microphones and is designed to work with the Pixel speaker dock. There is also a USB Type-C port for charging at 18W when not connected to the dock. It packs a 27-watt-hour battery, which will last for about 12 hours on a single charge.

The Google tablet comes with the Tensor G2 SoC with Google’s Titan M2 chip, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. The front camera has an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and an 84-degree field of view, while the rear camera has an 8MP f/2.0 sensor. The tablet supports Wi-Fi 6, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, ultra-wideband radio chip, and runs Android 13 out of the box.

Availability

The Pixel Tablet is not coming to India, at least for the time being. It is available for pre-order in select markets, including the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia.

Conclusion

Google Pixel Tablet is the latest addition to the Pixel family, and it is loaded with advanced features, such as the Tensor G2 SoC, which is found in the current line of Google smartphones. It has an 11-inch display, a 27-watt-hour battery, and quad speakers, making it a powerful and reliable device.

However, it is not yet clear whether it will be able to compete with other tablets in the market, such as the iPad. Nonetheless, with Google’s extensive optimization of over 50 Google apps, the Pixel Tablet is sure to be a worthy device for its users.
