Google Pixel watch was unleashed during the I/O 2022 event in the month of May. This was the first smartwatch from the search-engine giant in correlation with Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel 6a. The new smartwatch runs on the Wear OS platform and has a Fitbit integration to track various physical activities. The Google Pixel watch will appear in the US sooner and before the launch, and the Fitbit app gets the functionality to support the wearable. The recent APK (Android Package Kit) teardown of the app shows new in-app text where it shows reminders about charging thus giving hints about estimated battery life.
According to 9to5Google, the estimated battery life of this new smartwatch was mentioned through an APK teardown while examining the latest version of the Fitbit app. The report quotes APK teardown includes evening charge reminders in the form of text within the app itself for the Google Pixel watch.
In general, the Fitbit app shows notifications to charge the smartwatches when the battery is at least less than 30% before going to bed for ensuring sleep tracking. Based on the report, it’s estimated the smartwatch would offer 24 hours of battery life for its 300mAh battery giving a day’s runtime on a single charge.
The watch runs on Wear OS and has a circular display with minimal bezels and curved glass protection. It also has extensive support for Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Wallet. Also, the watch can be compatible with smart home devices.
Google has come up with packed customizable and swappable wristbands on the Pixel watch that offers heart rate tracking and sleep monitoring. The Pixel watch works well on the Find My Device app as well to help users find their misplaced Pixel phone, earbuds, or any other supported devices.
