On March 9, at 7 a.m. IST, Instagram users started experiencing network issues. On Down Detector, more than 54,000 users reported that Instagram was down.

Since 7 a.m. IST, the outage has been highlighted by an increase in user reports on the Down Detector website. About 14% of complaints were related to login issues, while the majority of complaints were about server connection users.
