The iQOO Neo 7 is a gaming-focused smartphone that does a great job of focusing on gaming performance. It might not have the most superior plan or the most flexible camera arrangement, but assuming you are searching for class-driving execution, it’s worth the expense.

After using the phone for more than a month, I can confidently say that the iQOO Neo 7 might be a good option if you want a gaming phone that costs less than Rs 30,000, has reliable performance, and is designed to be useful.

Performance: Does Not Break A Sweat

Performance Does Not Break A Sweat - iQOO Neo 7 - Before You Take

The performance of the iQOO Neo 7 is its primary selling point. The phone is very quick thanks to the Dimensity 8200 SoC and 12GB of RAM. Whether I was playing games or doing everyday tasks, I never experienced lag.

The phone is an excellent option, particularly for gaming! In games like Call of Duty Mobile, you can play at a smooth 90 frames per second, and the phone can keep up with a lot of work for a long time. The longest I played COD Versatile was around 45 minutes all at once, and I didn’t see many casing drops.

Consumption of Media, Speakers, and Display

The iQOO Neo 7’s display may not be the best in its class, but it is still satisfactory. The 120Hz AMOLED panel produces deep blacks and excellent viewing angles, making the display quite appealing. The open-air splendor, which the brand expresses ultimately depends on 1300 Nits, was enough so that I might see the showcase in the splendid Rajasthan sun.

The display that is flat and has slim bezels is something I really like. The flat display prevents the problem of accidental touches that some high-end flagships from a certain Galaxy, ahem, have as a device geared toward gaming.

However, speakers could use some work. The stereo separation, mids, and lows are not very good, despite the fact that they have stereo speakers—one in the earpiece and another on the bottom. The speakers are clear enough yet need freshness. I didn’t mind the speakers much for gaming because I could clearly hear the footsteps in games. Also excellent was the call quality. They said I sounded good as well, and I could hear the other person well. There are no issues here.

Camera: Has Potential, Yet Could Be Better

The iQOO Neo 7 has a double camera arrangement on the back — a 64MP primary sensor and an optional ‘bokeh’ sensor. The iQOO Neo 7’s main camera produces good images for the money, despite having fewer lenses than the iQOO Neo 6, which had both wide and ultrawide angle lenses.

The powerful reach generally speaking is precise, with adjusted HDR and feature roll-off is all-around good. When I compared it to the Samsung Galaxy S23, a device that costs a lot more, I was surprised to find that the differences in details were so small.

Sharp images are also captured in artificial lighting in the interior. However, the 4k30 video is not particularly impressive. It lacks detail, highlights are overexposed, and are quite shaky.

The 16MP front camera is adequate for casual selfie-taking, but the iQOO Neo 7 is not the phone for you if you prefer natural shots without additional skin smoothing or restructuring.

It adds an additional layer of sharpening in Portrait mode, which is not very appealing. However, I would say that the phone is adequate for that purpose given that the majority of.

In conclusion, the iQOO Neo 7 is a great gaming-focused phone that offers reliable performance, a satisfactory display, and decent camera capabilities for its price range. The phone’s performance, thanks to its Dimensity 8200 SoC and 12GB of RAM, is outstanding, especially for gaming.

The display is impressive with its 120Hz AMOLED panel and slim bezels, but the speakers could use some improvement. The camera setup is adequate for the price, with the main camera producing good images, but the front camera’s additional skin smoothing may not appeal to everyone. Overall, the iQOO Neo 7 is a worthwhile option for those looking for a gaming phone under Rs 30,000.
