iQOO, a sub-brand of Vivo, is set to launch its new iQOO Neo 8 series smartphones. The lineup will consist of two devices – the iQOO 8 and the iQOO Neo 8 Pro. Both devices are expected to launch in China soon, and rumors about their specifications are already circulating.
Recently, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro was spotted in China’s 3C certification, along with Vivo’s upcoming S17 series smartphone, the Vivo S17e. Let’s take a closer look at what these new devices have to offer.
iQOO Neo 8 Pro: 120W Fast Charging Support and Dimensity 9200+ SoC
According to the 3C certification listing, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro (V2302A) will support 120W fast charging, which is a significant improvement over the previous model’s 66W fast charging. The device will also come with 5G connectivity support.
Under the hood, the device is expected to come with an octa-core Dimensity 9200+ SoC, which is MediaTek’s latest flagship processor. The device may also feature up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The iQOO Neo 8 Pro is also expected to feature an AMOLED display, which may offer Full HD+ resolution. The device may have a 50MP primary camera, and it is rumored to run on Android 13 OS out of the box.
Vivo S17e: 80W Fast Charging Support and 5G Connectivity
The Vivo S17e (V2285A) has also received 3C certification, and it will come with 80W fast charging support, which is an improvement over its predecessor’s 65W fast charging. Like the iQOO Neo 8 Pro, the Vivo S17e will also have 5G connectivity support. However, the specifications of the Vivo S17e are not yet known, and we will have to wait for further information.
iQOO Neo 8: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 120Hz Refresh Rate
The vanilla iQOO Neo 8 (V2301A) was also spotted in 3C certification, and it will support up to 120W fast charging. It will feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and may come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device may also have a 50MP primary camera, and it is expected to feature a 6.67-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Launch Date and Availability
iQOO has not yet announced the official launch date for the iQOO Neo 8 series, but given that these devices have started appearing on certifications, we can expect them to launch in China in the coming weeks.
The iQOO Neo 8 Pro and Vivo S17e are expected to be mid-range devices that will offer fast charging and 5G connectivity at an affordable price point. We will have to wait and see how they perform in the market once they are officially launched.
