POCO, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is all set to launch two new phones in its F-series – the POCO F5 and F5 Pro. These devices are expected to be rebranded as Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi K60, respectively. Both phones recently received TUV certification, and the Pro model was also spotted at the NBTC certification two days ago. The POCO F5 has received the necessary NBTC and NCC certifications ahead of launch, and the FCC certificate has uncovered the gadget configuration subtleties.
Triple-Camera Setup and Battery Capacity
According to the live images included in the NCC certification, the POCO F5 will have a triple-camera setup, which is expected to consist of a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP super wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The NBTC listing also reveals that the phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery and might support 67W fast charging.
Display, Storage, and Processor
The POCO F5 is rumored to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, which is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the POCO F3. The phone is expected to have 256GB of internal storage and up to 12GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor could power the POCO F5, providing the device with robust undercarriage power.
Launch and Availability
Although the POCO F5 was initially set to launch in India on April 6th, the release date has been postponed. However, with the recent certifications and new data shared by insider Paras Guglani, who claims the device will launch in 8GB/12GB RAM variants with 256GB of storage and white, blue, and black color options, it seems that we can expect the phone to launch in the coming weeks.
Final Thoughts
While much is still unknown about the POCO F5, its certifications, and rumors indicate that it is set to be a powerful device with significant improvements over its predecessor, the POCO F3. With a triple-camera setup, 120Hz refresh rate display, robust processor, and high storage and RAM options, the POCO F5 is poised to provide an exceptional user experience.
