Realme is set to launch its new Buds Air 5 Pro TWS earbuds on May 10, alongside the Redmi 11 series smartphones. These earbuds are an upgrade to the Buds Air 3 and will feature active noise cancellation (ANC), as confirmed by a teaser image.
The earbuds will retain the stem-like shape and silicone ear tips from the previous model, with a HiFi-level coaxial dual unit and 3D spatial sound effect for an immersive audio experience. Realme has also promised LDAC high-definition sound quality, but no other information has been shared.
Design and features of the Buds Air 5 Pro
The earbuds will have a cylindrical stem with a microphone cutout and will be similar in design to their predecessor but with some minor changes. The charging case will retain the pebble shape and LED indicator, and consumers can expect features similar to those found in the previous model, such as customizable audio settings and dual device connection.
Realme Buds Air 3 specifications
The Buds Air 3, released in February 2022, has 10mm dynamic drivers that use a liquid crystal polymer diaphragm to produce clear vocals and strong bass. It supports Dolby Audio and offers ANC that can reduce ambient noise by up to 42 dB.
The earbuds have up to 5.5 hours of battery life and up to 30 hours with the charging case, but enabling ANC reduces battery life to around 22 hours. The Buds Air 3 also features an 88ms low latency mode for gaming, transparency mode, touch controls, and IPX5 sweat and splash resistance.
Anticipated price and availability
Realme has not disclosed the price of the Buds Air 5 Pro, but it is expected to be priced between Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000. They are likely to be available in black and white color options and will be sold on Realme’s website and Flipkart. With ANC and HiFi-level sound quality, the Buds Air 5 Pro is expected to compete with other TWS earbuds in this price range, such as the OnePlus Buds Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Buds+.
