Redmi India has launched two new smartphones, the Redmi Note 12 and the Redmi 12C, which will be available for purchase for the first time in India on April 6th, 2023. The Redmi 12C will start at Rs 8,999 for the 4GB + 64GB model and at Rs 10,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model, while the Redmi Note 12 will cost Rs 14,999 for the 6GB + 64GB model and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model. The devices will be available from Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Studio, and Mi Home, as well as from authorized retail partners.

The Redmi 12C features a 6.71-inch 720p display, a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, up to 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged with 10W micro-USB. On the rear, it has a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 5MP selfie camera. The device runs on MIUI 13, based on Android 12.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 12 has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 685 SoC, up to 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 and has a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera, as well as a 13MP front-facing camera.

Redmi is offering introductory discounts for ICICI Bank cardholders, as well as additional discounts of Rs 1500 for existing Xiaomi and Redmi customers. With these discounts, the Redmi 12C can be purchased for Rs 8,499 for the 4GB + 64GB model and Rs 10,499 for the 6GB + 128GB model, while the Redmi Note 12 can be purchased for Rs 13,999 for the 6GB + 64GB model and Rs 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model.
