The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 series, comprising the Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+, is poised for release in the near future. These tablets recently obtained FCC certification, and the Galaxy Tab A9+ was additionally spotted on Geekbench, Bluetooth SIG, and India’s BIS certification last month. SafetyKorea even leaked live images of the Galaxy Tab A9. Now, just ahead of their official launch, both tablets have secured NBTC certification.

Certification Details

The NBTC certification confirms the names of the tablets as Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+. The former carries the model number SM-X115, while the latter is identified as SM-216B. Unfortunately, the NBTC listing doesn’t provide further details about the Galaxy Tab A9 series.

Expected Specifications

Based on previous leaks from the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy Tab A9+ is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC and may come with up to 4GB of RAM. It’s expected to run Android 13 with the One UI skin. The tablet has already received FCC approval, which revealed its dimensions at 257.11×168.66×6.94mm and a 7,040mAh (Typical) battery supporting 15W fast charging.

The Galaxy Tab A9

On the other hand, was recently spotted at the FCC. This certification confirmed its dimensions at 210.7mm in length and 124.7mm in width. It also revealed a 3.5mm audio jack, a 5,100mAh battery, and 25W fast charging support. However, detailed specifications, including display size, camera setup, and storage options, are yet to be disclosed by Samsung.

Release Date

The launch date for the new tablet lineup has not been officially announced by Samsung. Given that both tablets are steadily gaining certifications, it’s expected that they will debut in the near future.

The Galaxy Tab A9 series will succeed the Galaxy Tab A8, which was launched in December 2021. The Galaxy Tab A8 featured a 10.5-inch display, Unisoc T618 SoC, up to 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and a 7,040mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
