Motorola has teased the launch of its new foldable phone, the Moto Razr 40 Ultra, which is rumoured to launch in the coming days. Recently, official press renders of the Moto Razr 40 were revealed, showcasing the design and colour options.
Now, Evan Blass, aka EvLeaks, has uploaded the official images of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra, which reveal the design of the foldable phone. The leaked images also confirm the colour options and some other details. Let’s take a closer look at the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra design, specifications, features, and other details revealed so far.
Design: What to Expect
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will be a premium foldable phone, expected to launch in China and possibly a few other markets soon. It is anticipated to have many upgrades over the outgoing model, with the most noticeable change being the massive outer display, possibly the biggest on any clamshell-style folding phone.
Though the images shared by Blass do not confirm the outer screen size, it certainly looks a lot bigger than the rest of the clamshell foldable phones out there. It is rumoured that the Razr 40 Ultra’s outer display will be, more or less, about 3.4-3.6 inches tall. There are cutouts at the corner of the outer shell for the dual-camera setup and an LED flash module. On the inside, there is a tall foldable display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre.
Colour Options
The images shared by Blass reveal that the Razr 40 Ultra will launch in three colour options, Barberry, Black, and Blue. The same report revealed that the Razr 40 Ultra will feature an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2640×1080-pixel resolution.
Specifications and Features
The Razr 40 Ultra is expected to have impressive specifications and features, including a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood, which was also confirmed via a Geekbench listing. The phone will launch with at least 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will pack a 3,640mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
The device will also feature a 12MP main Sony IMX563 sensor and a 13MP SK Hynix Hi1336 ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, there will be a 32MP sensor.
The Razr 40 Ultra will run Android 13 out of the box and have a layer of MyUX on top. Some leaks have claimed that the Razr 40 Ultra’s 6.9-inch foldable display will support a 144Hz or 165Hz refresh rate.
Conclusion
With the release of the official press images, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most impressive foldable phones to date. The massive outer display, high refresh rate, impressive camera system, and fast charging are just some of the features that make it stand out in a crowded market. Although the exact launch date and price are yet to be confirmed, Motorola fans eagerly await the new Razr’s arrival.
