Foldable smartphones are becoming increasingly popular in the tech world, and Vivo is set to release its latest offering, the Vivo X Fold 2, in April 2023. The Chinese tech company has confirmed the launch of the foldable smartphone in China next month, with a global launch expected to follow soon after.

The Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to feature some impressive specs, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is manufactured using a 4nm process. According to the AnTuTu listing for the X Fold 2, the device has scored more than 1.3 million points, which is significantly higher than most smartphones on the market. The smartphone will be available in three color options: red, dark, and blue.

In terms of storage and memory, the Vivo X Fold 2 will come with up to 256GB of storage and up to 12GB of RAM. The device will be pre-installed with Origin OS 13, which is based on Android 13. With these specs, users can expect a smooth and responsive experience when using the foldable smartphone.

The Vivo X Fold 2 will also feature an 8.0 inch E6 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution, and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The display will have a refresh rate of 120Hz, providing users with a seamless viewing experience. The punch-hole in the display will house the 16MP selfie camera, while the cover display is expected to have another 16MP camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The device is expected to have a triple-rear camera setup, which includes a primary 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor with OIS, a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto sensor, and an ultra-wide-angle lens with 12MP Sony IMX633. While this setup is inferior to the quad-rear camera setup found in the Vivo X Fold, it is still impressive and should deliver excellent photo and video quality.

A 4800mAh battery will power the upcoming Vivo X Fold 2, which will support 120W of fast charging technology. This should allow users to charge their devices quickly and spend more time using their foldable smartphones.
