Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has launched two flagship smartphones, the X90 and X90 Pro, in India as part of the X90 series. The X90 series packs some top-of-the-line hardware, including a 1-inch camera sensor, Zeiss-tuned optics, and a MediaTek Dimensity flagship SoC. Let’s take a closer look at the Vivo X90 series’ specifications, features, price, and other details.

 

Price and Availability

The Vivo X90 series has been launched in India with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The X90 5G’s base model packs 8GB of RAM and is priced at Rs 59,999. The X90 5G is also available in a 12GB + 256GB variant, priced at Rs 63,999. The X90 Pro comes in a single 12GB + 256GB storage option, priced at Rs 84,999. As part of the launch offers, customers can claim a 10% cashback on various bank cards while purchasing the devices offline. Online buyers can get up to an Rs 8,000 discount, along with an additional Rs 8,000 exchange bonus on the purchase of the X90 series.

 

Display and Design

Both the X90 Pro and X90 feature a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2800×1260 pixels. The devices also feature a 32MP front camera, which is placed inside the hole-punch cutout at the top center of the display. The 120Hz screen is curved towards the edges and offers 1300 nits of peak brightness. There is support for HDR10+ certification and a layer of Schott Xensation Alpha glass for added protection against drops and scratches.

 

The X90 5G has a glass back, while the X90 Pro offers a vegan leather rear panel. The X90 Pro has an IP68 rating, whereas the X90 5G has an IP64 rating.

 

Processor and Software

The devices feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC under the hood. The 4nm SoC is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Notably, the X90 and X90 Pro are the only phones in India to feature the MediaTek Dimensity flagship SoC. Both phones have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The X90 Pro runs Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 out of the box, while the X90 5G runs on Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12.

 

Camera

The X90 Pro has superior camera hardware. It has a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch camera sensor on the back with support for optical image stabilisation and features an 8P lens setup. There is also a 50MP Sony IMX758 portrait camera with 2x optical zoom support and a 12MP ultra-wide camera setup. The X90 5G has a 50MP Sony IMX866 main camera on the back with an f/1.75 aperture and support for optical image stabilisation. It also has a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP portrait camera, both of which feature a Sony IMX663 sensor.

 

Battery

The X90 Pro packs a 4870mAh battery with 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. The X90 5G, on the other hand, has a 4810mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
