After months of anticipation, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is finally making its way back to Indian smartphones. While the game is not yet listed on the Google Play Store or App Store, some Android users have reported being able to download it through an unofficial link. This development follows Krafton’s recent announcement that the Indian government has granted approval for the game’s relaunch.
BGMI Download Link Circulating, but Official Listings Await
Android users who are eager to play BGMI can access the download link provided by various sources. Although the game is not currently visible on the official app stores, the download process through the unofficial link seems to be successful. However, it’s important to note that the game’s servers are not yet live, so gameplay is not possible at this time. It is expected that Krafton will soon list BGMI on the Google Play Store, making it easily accessible to all interested players.
BGMI’s Long-Awaited Return with New Restrictions
Following its ban last year due to security concerns, BGMI’s relaunch in India comes with certain limitations. These include restricted playing hours to address concerns of excessive gaming and addiction among players. Additionally, the color of blood in the game has been changed to green by default in order to reduce the intensity of violent graphics. These adjustments have been implemented in response to previous incidents involving young players associated with BGMI.
Trial Run Period and Government Oversight
Although BGMI is making a comeback, it is important to note that this is a trial run authorized by the government for a duration of three months. During this period, the government will closely monitor the game’s impact on users, including potential harm and addiction issues. The trial period aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented changes and assess the overall safety of the game for Indian players.
This is a 3 month trial approval of #BGMI aftr it has complied wth issues of server locations n data security etc.
We will keep a close watch on other issues of User harm, Addiction etc in next 3 months before a final decision is taken @GoI_MeitY @PMOIndia https://t.co/9SrYekrHXz

Official Launch Date Yet to be Announced
Krafton has not yet revealed the official launch date for BGMI’s relaunch in India. However, given that the game is already available for download through unofficial means, it is expected that the official listings on the app stores will be made available in the near future. Players and fans of the battle royale genre can look forward to rejoining the intense battlegrounds of BGMI very soon.
