WhatsApp has released a new feature called ‘side-by-side’ mode for Android tablet users. The feature enables users to switch between conversations without losing track of their ongoing chats, allowing for a more seamless experience while using the app on their tablet. The new mode splits the screen, allowing users to view multiple conversations simultaneously. However, it may result in a smaller area for each conversation. The feature can be disabled through the app’s settings if users prefer a larger interface for their conversations.

WhatsApp’s multi-device login feature

WhatsApp has also launched a multi-device login feature that allows users to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices. This update has already started rolling out to users globally, and it enables them to link up to four additional devices to their WhatsApp accounts. This feature is particularly useful for users who frequently switch between devices or share their accounts with family members.

Upcoming WhatsApp features

WhatsApp is also set to introduce other new features, including an individual chat lock feature, which will enable users to add an extra layer of security to their chats. The Companion mode will allow users to mirror their WhatsApp account on their smartphone and tablet simultaneously.

WhatsApp is also rumored to be working on adding animated emoji support to the platform, which will allow users to send animated emojis to their contacts in their chats. The company is also expected to roll out a feature that allows Android users to transfer their chats without Google Drive, making the process more convenient and accessible.

Conclusion

WhatsApp continues to improve its app’s user experience with new features and updates. The side-by-side feature for Android tablets is a welcome addition, particularly for users who often chat with multiple people at the same time. The new multi-device login feature will also be a significant convenience for those who use WhatsApp on several devices. The upcoming features, such as individual chat lock and animated emoji support, are eagerly anticipated by WhatsApp users, and it remains to be seen how they will enhance the messaging app’s capabilities.
