Xiaomi launches another flagship smartphone with a 5.4mm thickness and has just 87 components in its core. MIX Fold 2 and Pad 5 Pro are the latest successors in the foldable smartphone market. It is the slimmest foldable product so far by the company and has an ultra-narrow side key fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro is the tablet variant by the company and draws power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, a 2.5K LCD, and a 10,000mAH battery power with 67W fast charging the key features quotes.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 comes in three variants – 12GB + 256GB priced at RMB 8999; 12GB + 512GB at RMB 9999; and 12GB+1TB at 11999. The foldable product by the largest brand is already available in China market.

Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro comes with 6GB + 12GB for RMB 2999, 8GB + 256GB comes for RMB 3499, and 12GB + 512 GB for RMB 4199.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro has an FHD+ display measuring 6.5-inch Samsung OLED E5 cover display with an aspect ratio of 21:9, a resolution of up to 2520 x 1080 pixels, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and a 120Hz refreshing rate.

The foldable has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 Chipset that’s paired up with Adreno GPU, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB / 512GB / 1TB UFS 3.1 storage. It has a fingerprint sensor on its side for security, Hi-Res audio, Dolby Atmos, and dual speakers. The phone has a 4500mAh battery with a 67W fast charging capacity.

As far as design is concerned, Fold 2 features a micro waterdrop hinge and is developed by using various innovative technologies. The hinge measures up to 8.8mm in thickness and the weight is reduced to 35 grams out of the available foldable phones on the market. The mobile tech brand added a carbon fiber floating plate to eliminate creases on the screen.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 pro has a 10000mAh battery and 67W fast charging support. With Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, the tablet has 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB of storage. It has a 12.4-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and supports brightness up to 500 nits. Coming to its resolution, Mi Pad 5 Pro has a 2560 x 1600-pixel resolution, HDR 10, Dolby Vision, DCI-p3 Color Gamut, and an ambient color temperature sensor.

The tablet has an inbuilt MIUI 13-based Android 12 OS with connectivity options such as WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. This new tablet comes with a 50MP primary camera and a 20MP secondary camera.
