The highly anticipated Asus ROG Ally handheld gaming console may soon be making its way to India, as suggested by a listing on an online retailer’s website.
Gaming enthusiasts in the country can catch a glimpse of the price and launch date of the device ahead of its official release. However, it seems that Indian gamers might have to shell out more compared to their US counterparts for these portable gaming devices.
Expected Price of Asus ROG Ally in India
According to the listing on retailer MX2 Games (via MySmartPrice), the Asus ROG Ally with the AMD Z1 processor is expected to be priced at Rs. 71,499, while the model featuring the AMD Z1 Extreme chip could cost Rs. 79,999.
These prices are significantly higher than the launch prices in the US, where the Asus ROG Ally is priced at $599 (approximately Rs. 49,300) and $699 (approximately Rs. 57,500) respectively.
Launch Date and Import Speculation
While the retailer’s listing mentions a launch date of June 16 for the Asus ROG Ally, it’s important to note that the company has not officially announced any plans for the device’s release in India. The global availability of the device is confirmed for June 13, which suggests that these could be imported models.

The Asus ROG Ally comes in two variants, powered by AMD’s Z1 and Z1 Extreme chips, and boasts AMD RDNA3 graphics, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of NVMe storage.
Running on Windows 11 Home, the device offers a range of controls including two thumbsticks, ABXY buttons, a D-pad, analog triggers, and bumpers. It features a 7-inch full-HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and multitouch support. The IPS display delivers a peak brightness of 500 nits and a response time of 7ms.
The global version of the Asus ROG Ally also includes a Hi-Res certified dual speaker system with Dolby Atmos support and an inbuilt array microphone with AI noise canceling technology.
Connectivity options consist of Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port for charging the built-in 40WHr four-cell Li-ion battery, which supports 65W charging. The device measures 28 x 11.1 x 2.12cm and weighs 608g.
