HONOR is gearing up to launch its latest smartphone, the HONOR 100 Pro 5G, and early leaks are shedding light on what to expect. While it may not bring revolutionary changes compared to its predecessor, the HONOR 90 Pro 5G, it promises to offer a compelling set of features. Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming device.

HONOR’s Return to India

HONOR recently re-entered the Indian smartphone market through a partnership with PSAV Global and HTech (formerly Honor Tech). In India, the company unveiled the vanilla HONOR 90 5G smartphone on September 14. Now, reports suggest that HONOR is working on the global launch of the HONOR 100 Pro 5G.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC

One of the significant highlights of the HONOR 100 Pro 5G is its processor. The smartphone is set to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. This chipset, built on TSMC’s 4nm process, boasts impressive specifications, including a Cortex-X3 core at 3.2GHz, two Cortex-A715 cores at 2.8GHz, two Cortex-A710 cores at 2.8GHz, three Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0GHz, and an Adreno 740 GPU.

Display and Eye Safety

The HONOR 100 Pro 5G is rumored to feature an AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Notably, HONOR is expected to continue offering 3,840Hz PWM Dimming for enhanced visual performance. The display will also aim to prioritize eye safety, featuring a DCI-P3 color gamut and TÜV Rheinland certification for a flicker-free panel.

Camera Setup

Similar to its predecessor, the upcoming smartphone is likely to sport dual front cameras. While specific details about the camera system are yet to be confirmed, HONOR is known for its focus on camera technology, so photography enthusiasts can expect noteworthy features.

Release Timeline

Internal testing of the HONOR 100 Pro 5G is expected to take place in October in China, with an official launch slated for November. The device is also expected to retain its predecessor’s impressive 5000mAh battery and support 90W fast charging, making it ideal for users on the go.

Memory and Storage

Given recent trends in smartphone specifications, HONOR may offer the HONOR 100 Pro 5G with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage in the Chinese market, providing users with ample space for their data and applications.

While complete technical details of the HONOR 100 Pro 5G are yet to be revealed, it appears that HONOR is aiming to offer a well-rounded smartphone experience with a strong focus on performance, display quality, and camera capabilities. With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood, it’s expected to deliver smooth and efficient performance, making it an attractive option in the competitive smartphone market.
