Motorola is gearing up to release its Edge 40 smartphone in India on May 23. This device, which was previously launched in Europe earlier this month, is set to offer the same specifications and features as its European counterpart. Recently, a micro-site on Flipkart went live, shedding light on the pricing details.
A promotional banner on Flipkart has revealed the pricing and offers for the Motorola Edge 40 smartphone. According to a screenshot shared by Twitter user Karan Mistry, the effective price of the Moto Edge 40 will be Rs 27,999, inclusive of all offers, and exclusively available to pre-order customers.
While the banner did not provide all the offer specifics, it did confirm that buyers of the Edge 40 will enjoy a Rs 2,000 discount on exchange. Additionally, customers have the option to include a screen replacement package for Rs 9,500. Pre-orders for the device are expected to begin on May 23, coinciding with its launch in India. The Motorola Edge 40 flaunts a 6.55-inch curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole cutout positioned at the center. Key features include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, an 8-bit panel, a high 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The device also boasts dual stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos, elevating the audio experience. Moreover, it holds an IP68 certification, making it water and dust resistant.
At the back, the Motorola Edge 40 showcases a square-shaped camera module housing a primary 50MP sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies, a 32MP front-facing camera is available.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Edge 40 is supported by a 4,400mAh battery and is compatible with 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. It runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box.
