On July 11th, tech enthusiasts around the world will witness the highly anticipated launch of the Nothing Phone (2) smartphone. While the brand has already given us a glimpse of its design and renowned tech influencer MKBHD shared his limited hands-on experience, tipster Kamila Wojciechowska has now unveiled the missing details of the Nothing Phone (2) in a recent leak thread on Twitter.
According to the leak, Kamila revealed screenshots of the Nothing OS 2.0 and shared some key specifications of the device. The standout feature in the camera department is the upgraded primary 50MP camera, equipped with the Sony IMX890 sensor. With optical image stabilization and in-sensor zoom capabilities, this camera promises enhanced photography experiences. Notably, this sensor is the same one found in the OnePlus 11, representing a significant improvement over the IMX766 sensor in the Phone (1).
While the ultra-wide sensor remains unchanged, utilizing the Samsung JN1 sensor with electronic image stabilization (EIS), the front camera receives an upgrade. It will feature a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor with EIS, ensuring stunning selfies and video calls. Alongside the hardware upgrades, the image processing capabilities are also expected to deliver improved results from these sensors.
Moving to the display, the Nothing Phone (2) is rumored to boast a 6.72-inch AMOLED panel sourced from Visionox. With a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels, the display offers vibrant colors and sharp visuals. The highlight feature is the 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth and fluid interactions for an exceptional user experience. To optimize power consumption, the refresh rate will dynamically adjust to lower frequencies, such as 1Hz, 10Hz, 24Hz, or 30Hz when required. Additionally, the device will retain an optical fingerprint sensor provided by Goodix, ensuring convenient and secure biometric authentication.
In addition to the leaked specifications, the tipster has shared a drive link where users can access high-definition wallpapers for the Nothing Phone (2), allowing them to personalize their device’s home screen with stunning visuals.
