Realme is gearing up for the launch of its much-anticipated smartphone, the Realme GT 5, scheduled to debut in China on August 28. With a series of teasers on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, the brand has been gradually revealing the significant specifications and features of the upcoming device.
In a recent move, Realme has shared an official image of the smartphone, offering a clear glimpse of its back panel design. The Realme GT 5 is poised to serve as the successor to the GT 3, which made its entrance earlier this year.
Official Unveiling of Realme GT 5’s Design
In a noteworthy partnership with BYD Electronics, Realme has introduced the concept of ‘Miracle Glass’ for the GT 5. This specialized glass boasts curved edges and a considerable hot forging surface area, setting the stage for a challenge to the existing glass technology norms within the industry.
The official images provided by Realme are consistent with a previously leaked render, showcasing the GT 5’s back panel design. The phone features a distinctive dual-toned back panel with a prominent rectangular protruding camera module at the top, in a sleek black color. This design bears a resemblance to recent Google Pixel models, albeit on a larger scale.
The left side of the camera island incorporates two rings: the upper ring holds a single sensor, while the lower one accommodates two lenses. The text on the module confirms the inclusion of PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Additionally, an f/1.8G 24mm text is visible.
The right side of the camera module features a transparent glass window that appears to be larger than that of the GT 3. Within this window, a Snapdragon logo is clearly visible, affirming the presence of a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor beneath the surface.
A teaser video has also revealed the presence of rectangular-shaped LED light strips positioned at the same location. These light strips have the unique ability to change colors dynamically. The Realme GT 5 will be available in a striking Flowing Silver Mirror color variant.
Anticipated Features and Enhancements
Previous teasers have already confirmed that the Realme GT 5 will offer configurations of up to 24GB RAM and 1TB of storage. To provide an enhanced visual experience, the device will feature a superframe-independent X7 display chip, developed in collaboration with PixelWorks.
Looking Ahead
With the official details of the Realme GT 5 set to be unveiled on Monday, enthusiasts and tech aficionados are eagerly awaiting the full disclosure of the smartphone’s specifications, features, and capabilities. As the successor to the GT 3, the GT 5 is expected to bring forth innovative advancements that align with Realme’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology to its users.
