Samsung is preparing its next big flagship launch with the much-anticipated Galaxy S26 series, and early leaks are already making waves. Dummy units of the upcoming lineup have now surfaced online, providing a sneak peek into what could be a major redesign for Samsung’s 2026 smartphones.

According to the leaks, Samsung may restructure its lineup naming convention by introducing a Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, replacing the standard and Plus variants from previous years. If true, this marks a significant shift in branding, aiming to better differentiate models within the premium segment.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Dummy Images Surface

Tipster Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson) recently shared images on X (formerly Twitter), showing three dummy units side by side. The lineup displayed includes the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The Galaxy S26 Edge appears to undergo the most dramatic redesign, featuring a rectangular camera island, breaking away from the minimalist dual-lens bump of its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Both the S26 Pro and S26 Ultra maintain a design closer to the Galaxy S25 series, with vertically aligned camera lenses placed inside a pill-shaped housing.

While dummy units are not official and are typically based on CAD renders and leaked specifications, they often give a fairly accurate preview of the final design language.

iPhone-Inspired Design Shift

If these leaked designs hold true, the Galaxy S26 Edge could adopt an iPhone-inspired aesthetic, resembling the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. This move suggests Samsung may be leaning into a more Apple-like visual identity to attract users who prioritize sleek, premium finishes.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Pro and Ultra look set to retain Samsung’s signature styling, offering familiarity for loyal Galaxy fans while introducing refinements in size and proportions.

Qi2 Wireless Charging Support Expected

One of the most interesting details from the leaked dummies is the circular ring at the back of the devices, strongly hinting at Qi2 wireless charging compatibility. If confirmed, the Galaxy S26 series would become Samsung’s first flagship lineup to embrace Qi2, offering faster and more reliable magnetic wireless charging. This would also improve cross-compatibility with a growing ecosystem of Qi2 accessories.

Size Changes for Galaxy S26 Ultra

Well-known tipster UniverseIce (@UniverseIce) has also suggested that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may feature slightly larger dimensions compared to its predecessor.

Galaxy S25 Ultra: 162.8mm x 77.6mm

Galaxy S26 Ultra (expected): 163.4mm x 77.9mm

While the change is minor, it hints at possible refinements in screen-to-body ratio, slimmer bezels, or internal adjustments to accommodate new components like improved cameras or larger batteries.

Launch Timeline

Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026, in line with the company’s traditional Galaxy S-series launch window.

With competition heating up against Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup and other Android rivals, Samsung is likely to focus heavily on design evolution, next-gen charging, and camera upgrades to make the Galaxy S26 series stand out.

Conclusion

The leaked Galaxy S26 dummy images suggest that Samsung’s 2026 flagship series may undergo its boldest design refresh yet, with the Galaxy S26 Edge borrowing design cues from Apple’s iPhones. Coupled with the possible addition of Qi2 wireless charging support, redesigned camera housings, and minor size refinements, the Galaxy S26 lineup could represent a major leap forward.

As the February 2026 launch approaches, more details are likely to emerge, but early signs indicate Samsung is aiming to strike a balance between fresh iPhone-inspired aesthetics and its own distinct Galaxy identity.
