Nothing, the tech startup founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, is all set to launch its second smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2), later this year. The company confirmed that the phone will launch in the summer of 2023, and the launch date is expected to be announced soon.

The Nothing Phone (2) has the model number A065 and is set to launch as a premium smartphone. According to the Geekbench listing, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which has a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz, with three performance cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The phone also has 12GB of RAM, and it is likely to be available in variants with 8GB of RAM as well as 128GB and 256GB of storage in different markets.
Impressive Performance on Geekbench
The Nothing Phone (2) scored 1253 and 3833 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively, indicating impressive performance. The device was also seen running Android 13, likely with the Nothing OS 1.5 on top of it.
Other Expected Specs
The Nothing Phone (2) is rumored to pack a 5000mAh battery and sport an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the Geekbench listing did not confirm these features. The device has already cleared the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification website, indicating an imminent launch.
