The Vivo V50e is available in two memory configurations:

8GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹28,999

8GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹30,999

It will be available for purchase starting April 17th via major online retailers like Amazon, Flipkart, and Vivo.com. Pre-bookings are now open. The smartphone comes in Sapphire Blue and Pearl White color variants.

Design and Display

The Vivo V50e follows a sleek and elegant design language, reminiscent of the Vivo V40e. It features a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and Netflix HDR support. The display also boasts SCHOTT Xensation (Diamond Shield Glass) protection and an impressive 1800 nits peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright sunlight.

Performance and Storage

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, paired with a Mali-G615 GPU. It comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, supporting 8GB of virtual RAM expansion for better multitasking. While the chipset remains unchanged from its predecessor, it still delivers efficient performance for everyday tasks and moderate gaming.

Camera Capabilities

The Vivo V50e focuses heavily on photography. It houses a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and multi-focal support (1x, 1.5x, and 2x), alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 116-degree field of view.

One of the highlights is the AI Aura Light Portrait 2.0 and LED camera ring, which enhances low-light portraits. Users also get a dedicated Wedding Portrait Studio mode for professional-looking results.

For selfies and video calls, there’s a 50MP front camera with autofocus — a notable feature in this price range.

Battery and Charging

A key upgrade over the previous model, the Vivo V50e packs a large 5,600mAh battery, complemented by 90W fast charging support. This combination ensures prolonged usage and quick recharging, catering to power users and heavy multimedia consumers.

Software and Updates

Out of the box, the Vivo V50e runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, making it one of the first few smartphones in India to ship with Android 15 pre-installed. Vivo promises three major Android version upgrades and four years of security updates, ensuring long-term software support.

Durability and Additional Features

Another standout feature is the IP68/69 rating for water and dust resistance, which is rarely seen in this segment. The phone also supports Wi-Fi 6, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and comes with dual stereo speakers for an immersive audio experience.

Vivo V50e vs Vivo V40e: What’s New?

While the Vivo V50e shares several features with its predecessor, the Vivo V40e, including the display and chipset, there are some notable enhancements:

Bigger battery (5,600mAh vs 4,800mAh)

Faster charging (90W vs 66W)

Higher water and dust resistance rating

Newer Android version and longer update cycle

These improvements may not be revolutionary but offer meaningful upgrades that enhance the overall user experience.

Conclusion

The Vivo V50e stands out as a well-rounded smartphone under ₹30,000, targeting users who seek a premium design, strong camera system, fast charging, and the latest Android experience. While it may not bring groundbreaking changes over its predecessor, it refines the essentials and adds key improvements in durability and battery life.

For users looking for a reliable mid-range device that balances aesthetics, performance, and camera features — especially with enhanced water resistance — the Vivo V50e makes a compelling case.
