Samsung Exynos 2300 System-on-Chip (SoC) has been making headlines as the rumored processor to power Google Pixel 8 Pro. Recently, details about this highly anticipated chipset have been leaked, giving tech enthusiasts a sneak peek into what we can expect from it.
It is said that Samsung and Google are collaborating on the development of a powerful chip that will likely be available later. The Google Tensor 3 chip, which is expected to power the upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, will be manufactured on Samsung Foundry’s third-generation 4nm process node, according to previous reports.
Tensor 3 could be a customized Samsung Exynos 2300 chipset, according to a new leak, and the specifications of the next-generation Exynos 2300 SoC were also leaked.
Another key feature of the Exynos 2300 is its integrated 5G modem, which supports both Sub-6GHz and mmWave frequencies. This should allow for faster download and upload speeds, low latency, and a better overall 5G experience. The chipset also supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC.
It is unknown when the aforementioned Samsung chipset will go on sale, but there has been speculation that the company will immediately begin working on the Exynos 2500 chipset instead of the Exynos 2300 and 2400 processors. However, Google is also expected to reconfigure the Exynos 2300 SoC and use it in its Tensor 3 chipset, which is likely to power the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Exynos 2300 can support up to six individual camera sensors, including a primary camera sensor of up to 200 megapixels. The chipset also features an advanced image signal processor (ISP) that can handle up to 8K video recording at 60fps and 4K video recording at 120fps. Additionally, the ISP supports real-time HDR and multi-frame noise reduction for better image quality in challenging lighting conditions.
While these leaked details are exciting, it’s important to note that they are still rumors, and the final specifications may differ from what has been reported. However, if the leaked information is accurate, the Samsung Exynos 2300 could be a game-changer for the upcoming Google Pixel 8 Pro. The combination of a powerful CPU and GPU integrated 5G modem, and advanced camera capabilities could make the Pixel 8 Pro a serious contender in the flagship smartphone market.
