Samsung has launched a new budget smartphone, the Galaxy M14 5G, in India. The device, part of the Galaxy M series, is currently the most affordable 5G smartphone in India. The Galaxy M14 5G features a 5nm Exynos 1330 processor and a massive 6000mAh battery, making it stand out in its price range. The phone also features a triple-camera setup, a Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 6GB of RAM.

 

Pricing and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy M14 5G is available for purchase on Amazon India and the Samsung India e-Store. It was launched with two storage options, a 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage option priced at Rs. 13,490, and a 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage option priced at Rs. 15,490. The phone is available in Berry Blue, Icy Silver, and Smoky Teal colors. The Galaxy M14 5G will be available for purchase starting April 21.

 

Design and Display

The Galaxy M14 5G has a body made of polycarbonate and features a curved frame with volume and power buttons on the right edge. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone. The front camera is housed in a water drop-shaped notch at the top of the device.

 

The phone features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for added protection against drops and scratches. The phone’s front camera has a 13MP sensor housed in the tiny notch at the top.

 

Camera and Processor

The Galaxy M14 5G features a triple camera setup on the back, with an f/1.8 main camera sensor with 50 megapixels, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. The phone also has a Mali G68 GPU and a 5nm Exynos 1330 processor inside. The device offers virtual RAM support of up to 6GB and storage expansion via microSD card.

 

Battery and Software

The Galaxy M14 5G has a 6000mAh battery, the largest in its class, and supports 25W fast charging. However, the phone does not come with a charger in the box. Samsung claims that the device can run for up to two days on a single charge. The phone also supports up to 13 5G bands in India, accommodating all of the country’s major telecommunications providers.

 

The device runs on the latest Android 13 update with One UI 5 on top. The phone has been promised two major Android updates and will receive security patches for four years.
