The Taiwanese electronics brand ASUS is all set to launch its first gaming handheld console, the ROG Ally, globally on May 11. A recent leak revealed all specifications of the upcoming gaming console, including the pricing details. The top-end version of the handheld console, featuring the AMD Z1 Extreme processor, will be priced at $699 (~Rs 57,150). Meanwhile, the standard variant with an AMD Z1 processor is expected to be priced at $599 or $549 (~Rs 49,000 or Rs 45,000).
ASUS ROG Ally: Features and Specifications
According to the leaked information, the ROG Ally will feature a 7-inch display screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 500nits peak brightness. The gaming console will come in two variants, with the standard version being powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 processor. On the other hand, the top-end model will feature the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor.
The ROG Ally will boot Windows 11, which means it will be compatible with various gaming platforms such as Steam, EA apps, Epic Games, and Xbox game pass. The gaming console is also expected to support Dolby Atmos audio for superior sound quality.
The device will have 16GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD storage, with an option to expand the storage further using a dedicated microSD card slot. The ROG Ally will also feature a USB Type-C port for fast charging and 65W fast charging support. The gaming console is also rumored to have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner slash power button.
