Display industry analyst Ross Young has suggested that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models will have a screen size update. The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to feature a slightly larger display compared to the iPhone 14 Pro, while the display of the iPhone 16 Pro Max could rival that of Android phones.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, which were launched in September 2021, feature a 6.1-inch display. However, rumours surrounding the iPhone 16 series, which is not expected to launch until 2024, are already circulating online.
Expected Screen Sizes for the iPhone 16 Pro Models
According to Ross Young, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models are likely to feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display sizes, respectively. This would be a significant upgrade over the outgoing iPhone 14 models. Currently, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models have a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display, respectively. The vanilla iPhone 14 features a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 14 Plus has a slightly larger 6.7-inch screen.
Other Rumoured Features of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 Series
Apple is expected to launch its iPhone 15 series, which includes the vanilla iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max (iPhone 15 Ultra) models in September 2022. The non-Pro models in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 series are said to feature an LTPS display, while the Pro models could come with an LTPO display.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to be powered by an A16 Bionic chip, while the Pro models may feature an A17 Bionic SoC. Additionally, Apple is rumoured to replace the old Lightning charging port with a USB Type-C port on all iPhone 15 models.

The vanilla iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus may feature an improved 48-megapixel wide camera sensor. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to have the thinnest “bezel black edge” of any smartphone, measuring just 1.55mm.
In conclusion, while the iPhone 16 series is still a long way off, the rumours regarding its features have already begun to circulate. It is worth noting that until Apple officially announces its plans, these are just rumours, and consumers should take them with a grain of salt.
