Apple’s latest release, the Beats Studio Buds+, has taken the true wireless earbuds market by storm. The successor to the popular Beats Studio Buds, this new offering brings a range of improvements including an enhanced fit, advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Transparency mode, upgraded microphones, extended battery life, and more.
Unveiling the Beats Studio Buds+
The Beats Studio Buds+ stands out with its distinctive transparent design, although it differs from Nothing’s Ear series buds, which feature a clear design. To ensure a better fit, the earbuds now come with an additional extra-small ear tip option.
Apple claims that approximately 95% of the internal components of the Beats Studio Buds+ are brand-new. Notably, the upgraded voice-targeting microphones, three times larger than their predecessors, significantly enhance call quality. Moreover, the earbuds maintain their IPX4 sweat and water-resistant ratings.
Seamless Switching and Improved ANC
Users can effortlessly switch between Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Transparency mode with a simple button press. The ANC on the Beats Studio Buds+ is 1.6 times better, while the Transparency mode is 2 times better compared to the Studio Buds. These enhancements are a result of improved ANC processing and a revised vent design. However, the Buds+ lack the head-tracking feature found in the Beats Fit Pro and certain AirPods models, although they do support Spatial Audio for Dolby Atmos on Apple Music.
Enhanced Compatibility and Extended Battery Life
The Beats Studio Buds+ utilizes the “Beats Proprietary Platform” to enable features like “Hey Siri” and Find My. They also support Google Fast Pair and Audio Switch, ensuring seamless switching between Android, Chromebook, and other compatible devices. Additionally, they are compatible with Google Find My Device.
With ANC turned off, the Buds+ provides an impressive total battery life of up to 36 hours (9 hours for the earbuds themselves and an additional 27 hours with the charging case), surpassing the 24-hour total battery life of the Studio Buds. The earbuds also offer fast charging, delivering 1 hour of battery life with just 5 minutes of charging. However, wireless charging is not supported.

The Apple Beats Studio Buds+ is available in three color options: Black/Gold, Ivory, and Transparent. Priced at $169.99, these earbuds are already available for purchase in the United States, offering music enthusiasts an unparalleled listening experience.
