Google Tensor G4: Unleashing Power and Efficiency

The benchmark listings have provided insights into the architecture of the Google Tensor G4 SoC. It adopts a 1+3+4 setup, unlike the previous Tensor G3’s 1+4+4 configuration. This setup comprises 1 x Cortex-X4 prime core clocked at an impressive 3.10GHz, 4x Cortex-A720 performance cores running at 2.6GHz, and 4 x Cortex-A520 power-efficient cores operating at 1.95GHz. Additionally, the Tensor G4 retains the Mali G715 GPU but promises enhanced speed and power.

Benchmark Performance: Impressive Numbers

According to the Geekbench scores, the Goolge Pixel 9 Pro XL showcases a single-core score of 1950 and a multi-core score of 4655. While these figures represent a minor increase compared to the Pixel 8 Pro equipped with Tensor G3, they still demonstrate substantial performance capabilities. On the other hand, the Pixel 9, with its lower specifications, achieves a single-core score of 1590 and a multi-core score of 3821.
