Chinese smartphone manufacturer iQOO seems to be gearing up for the launch of its latest flagship smartphone, the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G. The device has been spotted on Geekbench with impressive benchmark scores and is expected to launch soon.
The Geekbench listing reveals that the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC, which is a slightly upgraded version of the Snapdragon 780G chipset. The 782G SoC is based on a 6nm manufacturing process and features two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It also comes with an Adreno 642 GPU for improved graphics performance.
The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G managed to score 1,128 points in the single-core test and 3,712 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench. These scores are quite impressive and suggest that the device will be a powerful performer, capable of handling even the most demanding tasks with ease.
It is also speculated that iQOO might rebrand the iQOO Z7 5G Chinese variant as the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G in global markets. The iQOO Z7 series, as of now, consists of iQOO Z7i, iQOO Z7x 5G, and iQOO Z7 5G in China. However, there has been no official confirmation from the company regarding the same.
Apart from the powerful chipset, the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G is expected to come with other impressive features as well. The device will reportedly come with a 6.62-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also said to pack in a triple-camera setup at the back, consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the device might feature a 16MP front-facing camera.
The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will come pre-loaded with Android 13 out of the box, which will be a major selling point for the device. Android 13 is the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system and is expected to offer several new features and improvements over its predecessor.
Overall, the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G looks like a promising device that could give tough competition to other flagship smartphones in the market. We will have to wait for the official launch to know more about the device’s pricing and availability.
